A few weeks ago I sent an email to all my girl friends polling them on their favorite jeans. I was on the hunt to find some that did not stretch out in 2 hours and leave me with a droopy butt. I got some great replies - thanks! Now it was time to try on some brands I was not familiar with. BridgeStreet In Huntsville is now open so I went and tried on Lucky and Bebe. I have no idea how stores/brands are coming up with their sizing. I got excited when I saw inches (like guys jeans). So I thought ok, I'm wearing guys 33x34" right now (those pants are about 3 years old). The sales guy (very helpful by the way) gave me a funny look and said we'll try a 30 and 31 on you. I got into the 30 just fine and did some wiggling and squats and had to pull over a female sales clerk and ask if these things would stretch out. She said yes, you need a 29. Now, I have not had a 29" waist since 7th grade! How can I wear a 33 in guys and a 29 in girls. why do they bother with sizes like that! it's so frustrating. Not to mention it's probably helping the obesity problem in this country. I thought about it for a minute and determined I could not spend $98 on jeans that will stretch out in a few hours. So I thanked the helpful guy and walked down to Bebe. My friend Taryn has a pair and her ass looks perfect in those jeans. These sales clerks didnt seem to care I was in the store. I walk into the dressing room with 4 pairs that were all the same cut. strange. Next, they too had inch sizes and I could not button the 30". So I got a 31" (the biggest size they sell btw, so girls size 12 and up dont bother going in that store). The 31 sort of fit but my bikini cut underwear was showing. Now WTF is all I can think. How do girls wear underwear with these jeans. So again, I walked out. The other weekend I did scrounge around in my closest and found some Gap jeans that are at least 6 years old that almost perfect (now that I've lost a few pounds). I wore them all day and no droopy butt. I wish I could go back in time and buy several pair, and zip lock them away in an air tight container!
